Finch Drive is a master planned community integrated into a sloped site in Squamish, BC. The project provides 250 homes in a diverse range of housing options to meet the needs of the community. It includes 18 duplexes, 20 townhomes, and a collection of 4 apartment buildings comprised of 34 affordable rental units, 10 market rental units and a balance of for sale units at a variety of price points. An onsite daycare is also provided.
The apartment buildings are all wood stud construction with laminated stud sheer walls and elevator cores. Below grade parkades are concrete construction. The duplexes and townhomes are wood stud for the above grade areas, and ICF for the below grade portions built into the slope of the hill.
The project is designed to stringent sustainability standards, utilizing geothermal heating/cooling and solar power.
